Simply stated, Governor Schwarzenegger released his proposal for the 2008 – 2009 state budget on January 10. This budget proposal includes education cuts of approximately $4 billion for the 2008-2009 school year. Each school district across the state is slashing budgets to meet the proposed budget cuts.
At least two districts have decided not to issue lay-off notices:
